Ok ladies, whether you are the Captain of your own boat or the First Mate, confidence in boating is important. The real truth is, more often than not, women have some level of hesitation when asked if they will operate the boat. Sure, operating the boat out in the open is no big deal, but what about docking? Or maneuvering in tight spaces? Or crowded waters? You never know when a situation may arise that you need to step up to the helm. Be prepared and fear not! We’re here to help by giving you the tools to take that helm confidently and proudly!
Right from the start, our Team will provide knowledge and support to new boaters and those needing a little refresher before getting out on the water.
Learn Boating Etiquette, Safety, Line Handling, Docking, Boat Operation, Boating Terms, and Phrases Rules of the Water Regulations – Fed and State, and so much more!
Yes, men outnumber women when it comes to registered boat owners, but statistics are beginning to show the number of women purchasing a boat is steadily increasing. We are here to help make the boat ownership experience a very positive one.
July 15th: Sportsman Boat Owners (SBO)
Saturday from 10AM – 3PM
Come join the Thunder Marine crew for what will be a fun day in the sun! We will be set up all day on the north side of Shell Key Island which is a short ride from those coming from all sides of the bay!
This will be our best bet to get some tents set up and your favorite beverages enjoyed without any harassment!
We have yet again partnered up with Sportsman Boats who will help host this event. There will also be some Sportsman Factory Reps attending the party!
Those of you traveling, the closest ramp is minutes away from the sandbar. Short ride to the event! The ramp has plenty of parking and is very nice! They do charge $6 to park all day.
